Student Civic Engagement Committee

Comprised of stakeholders from across the university to provide a holistic examination of student civic engagement at Yale.

Our Mission

To foster student civic engagement focusing on democratic participation. The committee is focused on carrying out this work by creating a communication plan for resources and civic engagement information, as well as creating a plan for outreach to traditionally low turnout groups as indicated in the 2022 NSVLE report. Cultivation conversations through creating space and support for student civic dialogue outside of voter registration and voter turnout efforts and conduct a post execution debrief to evaluate effectiveness using multiple streams of data.
