Request An Absentee Ballot
Request An Absentee Ballot
Already registered to vote and need an absentee ballot? If you won’t physically be in the state you wish to vote in on election day, request an absentee ballot.
Before You Vote
Some states require mail-in requests. Please check the calendar of important dates and use your residential college address as your mailing address.
An absentee ballot is used by a person who cannot be physically present on Election Day at a polling place in the same state where they are voting. Absentee ballots must be requested in advance by the voter and mailed back early enough to arrive on or before Election Day.
- Make a plan to vote. If that plan requires an absentee ballot, request it below.
- If you are unsure of what addresses to use, check the mail information page.
- Make sure you are aware of deadlines and processing times in your state.
- Make sure to check your mail or email for alerts on the process.
