Pledge to 100% Voter Participation

Yale Votes Pledge to 100% Voter Participation

This year, we’ve set the ambitious goal of 100% voter participation in the 2020 Election. In order to ensure every eligible Yale student can and does cast their vote, we need the help of the entire Yale community. That’s why we’ve created the Pledge to 100 - a program for individuals and student organizations to let us know that they’re committed to full voter participation.

Individuals

Individual students are encouraged to take the pledge to committ to voting on (or before!) election day. Taking the pledge will let us know you’re registered and allow us to help you make a plan to cast your vote. Taking the pledge will also help us know how many Yale students are committed to voting as we compete to out-vote our peer institutions in the Ivy League Votes Challenge.

Organizations

Every organization on campus has a role to play in ensuring 100% voter participation this year. We’re asking each and every group to commit to 100% eligible voter registration and turnout among their membership and take the pledge. We also encourage student organizations to get involved in the Yale Votes Coalition by hosting your own voter registration drives, sharing important election information, recruiting poll workers, and participating in other Yale Votes initiatives.

Organizations Committed to 100% Voter Participation Include:

  • Every Vote Counts
  • Yale College Democrats
  • Yale College Council
  • Yale International Relations Association
  • Yale Historical Review
  • Yale Kappa Alpha Theta
  • Yale Water Polo
